Here are a bunch of Doctrinal Mastery Helps for this Fall.
It is based on how to spotlight and do a little Doctrinal Mastery every day.
It helps the students:
Here is a matching worksheet to help them learn the confusing terms like Zealots, Sadducees, Publicans, etc... I like to say the first pair of students that get 100% get candy. When they check if they get it right, I tell them how many wrong only and they have to keep correcting till 100%. The correct answers are E, D, I, G, A, C, F, H, B. #Seminary #NewTestament
Here is the Doctrinal Mastery Helps for the first semester of the New Testament. Please watch this video explaining why I include what I did and how to use the helps effectively. Just click on this link https://www.loom.com/share/973a40c4b89e4c2582a8de33f634cf54 .
There is also an explanation in the PowerPoint itself. Below is the link to download the files. Hope this is helpful. Again, click on that link above for the video to see how it all works. 😊 #doctrinalmastery #seminary #comefollowme
Here are the New Testament Come Follow Me bookmarks to help with Seminary and Sunday school. With the New Testament, it is going to be a little more complicated for your students to know what to read each week because they will be assigned chapters from multiple books often. The one book mark helps them see what is the assigned CFM reading for the week and mark it off as they read. This bookmark is great for Sunday School teachers and families to keep track. The second bookmark has the calendar next to it so they can also mark what days they read to track their reading. So it has everything in one view to mark days read and what they read. Take a look and I hope it is very helpful. Let me know if you need the Word documents of these to edit.

This has been one of the most enjoyable activities I have done with Seminary students. I got the idea years ago from Brother M. Ashton and have used it ever since. The first time I tried it, I wasn’t sure how willingly the students would participate. But I have always been pleasantly surprised with how willing and amazing their personal psalms of praise were. The creative writing assignment on the worksheet is pretty self explanatory.
After they have all turned their papers in, read the ones that you have been given permission on. After you read those I read the other’s privately and sometimes I have asked again if it is ok to read their publicly. After they hear others, they often are then ok with people hearing theirs.
Yes, I shared this before but S&I has recently changed some of the Key Scripture Phrases, so I changed the mnemonics to reflect those changes.
It is best to do a few minutes of Doctrinal Mastery each day in seminary. I think it is best to do this by spotlighting one of the Doctrinal Masteries passages for a week and a half to two weeks, by doing the following 3 things:
These are the helps for the Old Testament Doctrinal Mastery. I'll try to get out the New Testament ones in November.

Because S&I has not yet provided a bookmark for the new Doctrinal Masteries, and because giving the students a list is so helpful to get to know them, I thought I would make one until then. It is made to be printed front and back on cardstock with 4 to a page. When you look at the document, you will see you have a few options. You can print the Old Testament ones for last semester and this semester by printing pages 1-2. Or you can skip last semesters and put a graphic on the back like the Youth theme or the Books of the Old Testament. That would be printing pages 2, 3 or 2, 4. I also have it for the New Testament 12 we will have next semester, pages 5, 6. Let me know if you have any questions.
One of the hardest parts of being a Seminary Teacher is trying to figure out activities to play with your class to help them get to know the References and Key Scripture Phrases for the Doctrinal Mastery Scriptures. I usually do an activity like this for half of the lesson, once a week, or every other week. Here are a bunch that I have loved doing over the years. Games like:
Here are the Doctrinal Mastery helps I've done for the whole Old Testament. The 12 for this coming Fall semester start at slide 50. I was going to make this for the 2022-23 school year, but they haven't decided which 24 to have for the New Testament yet. At the beginning of the PPT is instructions for how to use them effectively. Maybe in August I'll send this out again. I will also have the reading charts and stuff. Click below to download the PowerPoint file.
I just wanted to pass along a Jeopardy Genesis Review game I made yesterday.
3 quick points.
Hope it helps.
