Human Tic-Tac-Toe is a super fun Scripture Mastery game I saw at one stake’s Scripture Mastery Bowl last year.  Click on the picture to download a paper that has the instructions and a diagram.
Now that your class is getting familiar with the Scripture Masteries, you can start to play games.  It's the beginning of the year so they may need their bookmarks to help, but try to wean them off of the bookmark as soon as possible.   Perhaps instead of working with all 25, you could work with the first 8 or 12 mastery verses.

I LOVE this scripture mastery work sheet. It made me laugh!  Thanks Brother Jared Moon for sharing.  The worksheet will help your students get to know the 25 Old Testament Scripture Masteries better and also understand that the 25 Scripture Masteries are chosen because they can be used in life in real situations.
Since it is the beginning of the year, they will probably need to use their bookmarks and read the verses.

Here is the PowerPoint presentation of "Finding Christ Everywhere in the Old Testament" that I just gave at our Multi Stake Training Meeting.  We find Christ through Types, Prophecies, and by learning He is the LORD of the Old Testament.
The Picture links you to the PowerPoint, and CLICK HERE for the Lesson Outline I had in Microsoft Word.  Remember you do not need a projector to teach the lesson.  It is just as powerful using your chalk board.

Here is some help with Scriptural Thoughts and a lesson idea all rolled together.  The handout here is something I put on the class bulletin board to be referred to later.   I also made copies for the class and explained that the acronym FEAST explains how I want scriptural thoughts to be given in class. (This is also similar to how missionaries are trained to share scriptural thoughts with others so it is great training!).
For what scripture to share, I tell them that nothing warms my heart more than to hear them start their thought saying, “I found this scripture last night when I was reading my scriptures…”  Those are the best scriptures and show that they are studying their scriptures in a meaningful way.
After I go through FEAST, I invite them to now practice what they learned.  I give them a juicy scripture block like Moses 1 and divide it into 3 parts.  Then break the class into thirds and have them read their page(s) looking for a scriptural thought to share just like they would at home.  After they read and prepare, the rest of the lesson is them coming up (calling them up randomly using popsicle sticks or something) and sharing scriptural thoughts that they found in the verses.  I love having the students standing up there and I sit with the other students.

To have fun with Scripture Mastery activities, your class has to become familiar enough with them to play some games. Here is how I would start to get them familiar with those scriptures.
Ask your class is if they want to play some scripture Mastery games. Explain that first you have to become a little familiar with the scripture Masteries for this year. Pass out copies of the handout shown here (click on the picture to download it).  Explain that you will go over the first 12 and work on those first.  Once you have become familiar with 12 you can play some games with those.  Have them go through their Old Testament and mark those first 12 Scripture Masteries.  Then go over the 12 mnemonics on the first side of the handout together as a class. The handout explains how to learn through using mnemonics effectively.   Once you have gone through the 12, have them quiz each other.  Once they are semi familiar, play a game with the handout called slap jack.  Have students face each other on both sides of a table.  The teacher calls out some key words or a reference and then the students  try to put their index finger on the correct square before the person across from them.
